#1 - Comprehensive Academic Program
Founded in the LaSallian Mission, Montini Catholic strives to educate students of diverse abilities, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds. This is accomplished through our Comprehensive Academic Program which includes: Advanced Placement, Honors, College-Prep and Signum Fidei courses. Listen to Principal Kevin Beirne explain the programs that make up our Comprehensive Academic Program.

#2 Advanced Placement & Dual Credit Opportunities
With 15 Advanced Placement courses and 4 Dual-Credit courses, students have the opportunity to receive college credit through their course work at Montini Catholic. Over the past 5 years, 77% of Montini Catholic students who take Advanced Placement Exams have received college credit based on their test scores compared to 64% of Illinois students.

#3 Distinctive Student Course Placement
We recognize that all students have course-specific talents and skills.  Understanding a student's different abiblities across their coursework is based on a thorough examination of their entrance exam score, grade school report cards and standardized test scores as well as feedback received from their grade school teachers.  Using this data allows us to place students not according a "track-based" curriculum but instead place them in courses that will challenge each student and provide the opportunity for success.  Students have the opportunities to enroll in AP, Honors or College Prep courses according to their abilities in a specific subject.

#4 Digital Learning Innovators
Montini Catholic was the first high school in the Diocese of Joliet to implement a digital one-to-one learning program.  Currently, students use school issued iPads for classwork, iBooks and assignments. The new Kazma Innovation Center provides a hub for technology learning, our Champion Robotics Team, Drone Flight Club and Computer Club.

#5 Extensive Student Activities Program
Over 25 student activity clubs are available for extra-curricular participation.  95% of our students participate in at least one extra-curricular, with most participating in multiple clubs. From our LaSallian Youth Club to our Broadcasters, we provide an opportunity for all students to get involved.

#6 State Championship Athletic Teams
Montini Catholic Athletic Teams have earned 29 State Championship Teams with several second and third place state finishes as well.  Last year, 39 seniors signed National Letters of Intent to play sports in college. 232 Montini Catholic athletic teams have achieved the IHSA Academic Achievement Honor since the awards inception in 2003. Succes on the field begins in the classroom.

#7 Revitalized Performing Arts
Under the direction of new Drama Director, Ms. DeMarco, our students will take to the stage in our Fall Play and Spring Musical productions.  Mr. Glowinski has revamped the Choir and Band program while continuing the choir and band performance trip to Walt Disney World.  Drama, Choir and Band are open to all students, regardless of their other activity or sport involvement.

#8 Campus Ministry Immersion Program
Last year students performed over 12,000 volunteer hours as part of our Graduation requirement. Student-led retreats, overnight Junior retreats and a 3 day Senior retreat provide students the opportunity to explore and expand their faith while at Montini Catholic. For students who want a deeper community service program, opportunities are available through the March for Life trip, Habitat for Humanity Program and Summer Mission Trip to Jamaica.

#9 Preparedness for College
The Class of 2020 received over $20 million in Academic Scholarships from colleges and universities. Over the past three years, over $61 million in Academic Scholarships has been offered to Montini Catholic seniors.

#10 Ongoing Capital Improvements
Each year, capital improvement projects are completed within the framework of our Strategic Plan.  This year over $250,000 in private, restricted donations allowed us to renovate our Girls Locker Room, Weight Room and Theater.  Additionally, the Mack Family Learning Resource Center was converted into the Mack Family Academic Commons area for students.

#11 Support of a Worldwide LaSallian Network
Montini Catholic students are part of a worldwide LaSallian Community spanning 80 countries that currently educates over one million students.  Based on the teachings of our founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle we are committed to "touching the hearts of our students."
